The unsuspecting Santa was sitting on his bench relaxing when we approached him. Gracie walked up to Santa to say hello.  Santa said "Hello" and reached down to pet her.  That was her invitation to jump up into his lap. Surely he wanted her to give him a hug!  

Santa began to laugh and Gracie began to lick his glasses off his face.  Then his hat fell off and he really started laughing which got Gracie going even more with the body wag.  I finally had to lift her down to save him.  Thank goodness his beard was real or that would have gone too.  

 

The photographer tried to use squeak toys and treats to get Gracie's attention.  After all, the goal was to get a picture of her face and not her tail.  All attempts to get Gracie to sit next to Santa on the bench failed, she never did sit down or stand still.  She was so thrilled to finally meet Santa. 

Gracie's antics drew such a crowd there was a line waiting for photos when we left. ;)
