What
is IABCA?
IABCA of America began approximately 10
years ago to make the International "UCI" Championship Title available to the
American public while not exposing the dogs to international travel.

Style) Dog Shows
Shows work in accordance with the German
regulations and guidelines that have been established by UCI provide for a written
critique of each dog entered, which provides a learning tool, and a rating number of how
well the dog conforms to the International UCI breed standard. UCI standards are based on
the "country of origin" for each breed, if possible. Judging is down without
time limits imposed and so discussions between judges and exhibitors do take place.
Written critiques cover 12 specific points,
and the judges overall impression. About 80% of all IABCA entries are AKC recognized
breeds. Rare breeds are also accepted. Professional handling is allowed. Best in Show and
Reserve Best in Show 3 categories (regular, bred-by and rare breed) across 3 age
categories (puppy, adult and veteran).

2. Best Bred-by in Show judging is
available for an additional $5.00 entry fee thus giving the Bred-by entries 2 chances at a
BIS.
3. Best Rare Breed in show competition was
judged on Sunday only for an additional $5.00 entry fee.
Two judges jointly select the Group winners
and a panel of judges select the best in show winners.
