What is IABCA?

IABCA of America began approximately 10 years ago to make the International "UCI" Championship Title available to the American public while not exposing the dogs to international travel.

Alle Rasse Gruppe (All Breed Group) in Association with Union Cynologie International e.V. (Germany) International (European Style) Dog Shows

Shows work in accordance with the German regulations and guidelines that have been established by UCI provide for a written critique of each dog entered, which provides a learning tool, and a rating number of how well the dog conforms to the International UCI breed standard. UCI standards are based on the "country of origin" for each breed, if possible. Judging is down without time limits imposed and so discussions between judges and exhibitors do take place.

Written critiques cover 12 specific points, and the judges overall impression. About 80% of all IABCA entries are AKC recognized breeds. Rare breeds are also accepted. Professional handling is allowed. Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show – 3 categories (regular, bred-by and rare breed) across 3 age categories (puppy, adult and veteran).

1. Regular classes

2. Best Bred-by in Show judging is available for an additional $5.00 entry fee thus giving the Bred-by entries 2 chances at a BIS.

3. Best Rare Breed in show competition was judged on Sunday only for an additional $5.00 entry fee.

Two judges jointly select the Group winners and a panel of judges select the best in show winners.
