Dr. Joan R. Coates of the University of Missouri is our keynote speaker this year. She will speak on Degenerative Myelopathy on Tuesday, May 9, from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. in the Bedford Room. This is a "don’t miss" seminar for any breeder with a boxer that has been affected by this horrible disease.

Echocardiograms – Dr. Kate Meurs – Monday, May 8 through Wednesday, May 10 in the Westminster Room. Only $125!!!

No shaving of dogs will be necessary.
A report will be given at the time the echo is performed.

American Boxer Club/CHIC DNA Data Bank: Samples will be collected Monday, May 8 through Wednesday, May 10, in the Cambridge Room; and the initial collection at the ABC is FREE!. CHIC has offered to split any DNA Blood samples collected at the ABC National Specialty ONLY. This means that if you have a blood sample taken from one or more boxers at ABC, you may request that the sample(s) be split and designate to which organization the sample is to go.

If you choose to have your sample split, you will need duplicate sets of forms – one for CHIC and one for the second designated organization. CHIC forms will be available at the ABC; or you can download the form at http://www.americanboxerclub.org/dna-database.html.

Dr. Kirsten Linblad-Toh of the Canine Genome Project will speak to the ABCF board and will also give a talk to the ABC membership/ABC attendees on Monday afternoon – time and place to be announced.
