I was privileged
to have Jo Thomson as a friend, and I still can't believe I'm writing this -- Jo was one
of the most "alive" people I've ever known. I feel very sad she didn't get to
see her new grandbaby. I know she would have been overjoyed. I live in Florida and when Jo
was passing through last summer, she saw several longtime friends and at her last stop,
talked to me and both of us vowed to get together again soon. Jo was honesty, joy,
principled, focused, knowledgeable, enjoyable and a great friend -- one of those you are
fortunate to meet once in a lifetime. Words can't really say what I feel at the thought
that she is no longer with us. Jo contributed some greatness to our breed. I know that she
and Benjoman are really enjoying each other again, but I will miss her. |
