A dedicated cadre of volunteers worked feverishly to accomplish the
formidable task of putting together the ABCF 2005 Auction in one day.
Their efforts, combined with the generosity of donors and bidders alike
made the Auction the most profitable ever in the ten year history of the
Foundation, raising over $40,000. All proceeds from the Auction will be
used to fund research into diseases affecting the Boxer Breed. The
American Boxer Charitable Foundation is profoundly grateful to all those
who contributed to the success of the 2005 Auction and for their
continuing support of Foundation goals.
The Auction, held yearly at the American Boxer Club National
Specialty, is the major fundraiser for the ABCF. Many of the unique and
desirable treasures offered for bidding were donated from the estates of
deceased Boxer aficionados. Such items were so abundant this year that
the Foundation is considering conducting an Open Air Flea Market in
2006.
The Foundation also benefited this year from sales of merchandise,
bracelets, and contributions to the Memorial Wall. The overwhelming
support of the Boxer public is evidence of their sincere commitment to
the welfare of the Breed we all love so dearly.
